Help - RSR project updates

Project updates are a quick way to communicate progress on a project in Akvo. You can update the project from the web site and in the future you will also be able to update the project using mobile phone SMS and MMS messages.

Only partners who have a formal relationship with Akvo and associated projects can currently update and comment on projects in Akvo. Read How to become a partner to learn more about partnering with Akvo.

To be able to make an update, you have to sign-in to Akvo RSR first. Use the button at the top right on the Akvo RSR pages or click this sign-in link.

Updates contain the following:

• Update title - The title should only be 50 characters long.
• Update text - The update text can be as long as you need it to be. To make the text more readable, please create new paragraphs by having a blank line between new paragraphs.
• Photo - We recommend that you add one photograph to the update. A picture says more than a thousand words. Please make sure that the pictures are not wider than 240 pixels wide. Otherwise they can take a very long time to download in areas where there is limited internet access speed.
• We also recommend that you enter a photo caption (description of the photo) and photo credit (who took the photo).
