About Akvo RSR sign-in accounts

To be able to create updates for projects in Akvo RSR you need to have registered a sign-in account. When you have an account you can also create comments on other projects.

Only partners who have a formal relationship with Akvo and associated projects are currently able to create accounts on the Akvo RSR system. Read how to become a partner to learn more about partnering with Akvo.

Process overview

The process of registering an account in Akvo RSR is as follows:

• Select an organisation you belong to.
• Enter information about yourself (username, email address etc.), and click the Register button. (Please note that this is a personal account, so do not create an account for multiple people to use.)
• An email will be sent to the email address you provided. You need to confirm the registration by clicking on the link in the email.
• The Akvo RSR administration team will receive a notification that you have registered an account. We will contact you to make sure that we have the right person registered before we enable the account. When we have enabled the account we will tell you via email.
• When you have received the email from the Akvo RSR team telling you that the your account has been enabled, then you can sign-in to Akvo RSR and start using your account. You sign-in here.

Step by step instructions

• Click the Register link top right in the Akvo toolbar.
• Select the organisation you belong to. (If your organisation is not listed in the pulldown menu, please read how to become a project partner. Click the Continue button.
• Fill in the following items:
  • Username, 3-X characters long.
  • Enter your first name and your last name.
  • Enter a password, use upper and lower case characters as well as some numbers.
  • Enter your email address. This is the address which the registration confirmation email will go to. Make sure it is a valid email address.
• Click the Register button.
• You will now get an email asking you to confirm your registration. Click the link in the email to confirm that you indeed have attempted to register on the Akvo RSR page. If you don't get an email, check your junk mail/spam box, as the confirmation mail may have ended up there.
  
• Wait for the Akvo RSR team to verify your account registration. This may take several days, but we try to do it as quickly as possible. We may contact you directly or one of the partner organisations to verify your email address and that you have indeed tried to register an account on Akvo.
• When we have verified your account registration then we will enable your account and send you an email telling you that your account registration is complete.
• You can now sign-in to your account using the button top right of the Akvo RSR web pages.

Now you can post updates to projects in Akvo that your organisation work on, and you can post comments on any projects.
