How you can help
With your support, Akvo can speed up the pace of water and sanitation development in some of the poorest parts of the world. Small Non-Governmental Organisations can act themselves. They can use new tools, share knowledge, specify projects, find funds and make things happen. They can be heroes.
Akvo is creating an open resource, forging relationships with everyone around the world who shares this vision. We'd love to have you involved.
How you can work with us:
Become an Akvopedia content editor and help restructure water and sanitation know-how.
Help us identify and run pilot projects.
Help us create short movies and animation material across Asia and Africa.
Share your technology vision, and partner with us to build the Akvo platform together.
Help us to continue raising funds from corporate supporters, financial institutions and development organisations.
Help us organise and empower a wide community of supporters and potential partners, so people who come to us find a place to contribute.
Contribute to the Akvopedia
Anyone can start contributing to the Akvopedia, simply by registering and making edits. We encourage you to be bold in doing so. If you'd prefer to talk first with our team, add a comment in one of our blogs, email akvo [at] akvo.org, or introduce yourself in Twitter to Mark or Thomas, or via the Akvo group in Facebook.

Participate in Akvo software development
If you want to participate in the Akvo platform software development effort then check out the Akvo platform overview and the software development portal. Please note that this is very much in development at the moment so a great time to join in if you want to contribute.
Save the developers
The easiest way you can help is to upgrade your web browser from Internet Explorer 6, if you are still using this.
A significant portion of our time when we are developing Akvo.org goes towards trying to make the site work for Internet Explorer 6 (IE6). IE6 does not implement web standards appropriately and makes it very cumbersome to make our web site work properly with it. Frankly it nearly drives our HTML and CSS programmers batty. So please help and upgrade to Internet Explorer 7, Firefox, or Safari. Thanks! - The development team
