Smart phones. Online maps. Dashboards.

Akvo FLOW fuses three elements: an Android smart phone app makes it easy to for staff on the ground to do surveys direct into their phones; internet-based management tools make it possible to design surveys and manage how they are distributed to people through their phones; and maps and dashboards show survey results online. This combination makes it much easier for programme teams to work together when they’re not all based together.

Link teams together. Create and distribute surveys. Publish results.

With Akvo FLOW, it’s easy for a team of remote field workers to liaise with programme managers and experts who may not be based nearby. Field staff each have an Android smart phone loaded with the Akvo FLOW app. They can create surveys themselves, or colleagues can design and send the survey questionnaires to them over the air. As data is gathered it uploads automatically to the programme dashboard, to be made available online in dedicated map interfaces.

Flexible surveys on any topic.

Akvo FLOW lets you create simple or complex surveys on any topic. The diversity is endless - surveys can include photos, videos, barcodes, and audio clips. Users have total flexibility to collect the information that will make an impact on their project. Phones can store hundreds of surveys and data can be collected in areas where there is no mobile connection – Akvo FLOW automatically transmits the data once a connection is detected, so the system can be used anywhere in the world.
