Mzuzu Diocese CHC

Mzuzu Diocese Catholic Health Commission was formally instituted in 1999; The Commission is a broad oriented and well established organization. It has a functional board of Directors. It is supported by donors locally and internationally. Its mission statement is In the spirit of Christ’s healing ministry, Mzuzu Diocese Health Commission shall provide; preventive, curative, rehabilitative health services, training and research in a quality and holistic manner at an affordable cost to individuals, families and communities based on Catholic Health Ethics.

Mzuzu Diocese Health Commission core functions are provision of Training of health workers, Mental Health, Primary Health Care, HIV/Aids Community Home Based Care, and Curative services.

Mzuzu CHC is composed of the secretariat (which is a coordinating body of all activities within the CHC) and the health institutions. All community based interventions are coordinated by the secretariat.
