CD Bethesda

CD Bethesda is a non-profit, non-governmental organization focused on providing health solutions and services for marginalized communities, especially those in rural areas. We began in 1974 by offering assistance to poor patients of Bethesda Hospital whose problems could not be solved by the hospital alone. After several years we realized that illnesses in communities are often caused by factors such as poverty, ignorance and social injustice. In order to help the communities solve these problems, CD Bethesda evolved into a primary and holistic health services institution, expanding the scope of our work to include community development, training and education in addition to providing basic health services. These community based programs and trainings empower the people to help themselves overcome their basic health problems giving them hope in their battle to overcome poverty.
