How to use an Akvo RSR widget

To create an Akvo Widget, please follow these steps:

1. Go to the project page of the project for which you want to make an update. You can find the project through the project listing page.

2. Click on 'Create a widget' at the bottom right corner of the project page, in the 'Page Tools' section.

3. If you are not logged in, you can only choose one type of widget. To see more options, sign in by following the 'sign in' link at the bottom of the page, or click on the 'Sign in' button on the top right of the page. (You need a Plus account to see more widgets.)

4. Choose a type of widget, and enter the address of the website on which the widget will be used.

5. Choose what information the widget should show. You can choose between the current project, or a random project from one of the organizations.

6. Click 'Select and proceed'.

7. On the 'Customise your widget' page, you can choose which colours the widget should have. Choose a colour for the top and and bottom bars, and for the title in the top bar. Click the 'Preview' button to see what the widget looks like.

8. If you are happy with the way the widget looks, copy the HTML code shown, and use it in your website. You may need to ask your webmaster how to to this.
